Monday May 22nd is the last day before the June 6th Election to update or change your voter registration, or to get a new voter in your house registered. May 30th is the last day to request an absentee ballot if you are going to be out of town on Election Day. The SB Elections Office is located at 130 E. Victoria St., near Santa Barbara St., in the Naomi Schwartz Building, 568-2200.

Health Care for All is starting a year long campaign in support of universal health, specifically SB 840. There is a petition in support which is available in downloadable form at the HCA web site. You can also sign the petition on line at that same web site. HCA is shooting for 1 million petition "signatures" . Go on line and sign the petition, download the petition and get others who are not on the internet to sign it. Petitions can be turned in to Peter Conn at 2612 Foothill Rd., Santa Barbara 93105.
